Hi Team,

Both groups played well this weekend, playing hard, learning the positions and attacking the ball. This week there is a game on Friday night and one on Sunday afternoon. We are almost a 1/3 through the season and the girls have made great progress to this point. Continue to encourage them to focus when on the field for practice and games.

REMINDERS:

• * * Arrive 15 minutes before Practice Starts*
• Arrive 30 minutes before Game Time (Arriving late makes it difficult to get the girls ready for the game)
• Only coaches and match officials are allowed on the bench side of the field during a game.
  • NO Jewelry, watches, necklaces, chains*

ALWAYS wear the RED Jersey to each game, bring White in case we have to change.

Each player must bring the ball that was provided to them to practice and games. The coaches do not have extra soccer balls if you forget

Hi Team,

Looking ahead to this week, practice Wednesday and Saturday, and RED and WHITE games on Sunday.

A quick recap of both games on the weekend, the girls played well and were competitive out on the field. Things we are going to work on at practice this week are playing our positions, attacking the ball, and defence.

A couple of updates for this week:

1. I have moved a couple of players between the groups: Mia and Avery will be playing with WHITE and Hayley and Elira will be playing with RED.
2. We have another player joining our group, who you may have seen on Saturday at practice, her name is Kate. If you are aware of any other players that are interested there is still a small window for those to register.
3. Another reminder that we need all players at the game 30 minutes before kick-off, so that we can get a warm-up in and get ready for the game
4. Thank you to the parents that have helped out with nets each week. This is a great help so that the coaches can focus on getting the girls ready for the game. (Big thanks to Ref Brent who supplied some more pegs for the net).

Hi Team,

We had our first 2 games this past weekend against St. Thomas. From all reports it sounds like both groups played hard and had lots of fun!

For this week a couple of items to highlight:

1. I will not be at Saturday’s practice as my oldest is daughter is in a tournament in Ancaster. Coach Holly will be there, but if a couple of parents could help with running the session that day it would be wonderful! Thank you again to coach Holly :)
2. We have 2 games on Sunday again. Please pay attention to the rosters for both games as this is when we will have 2 groups of 12.
3. It is important to arrive 30 mins before each games, so that the girls can get a proper warm-up in and the coaches can talk with the girls about the game plan. Please plan your travel times accordingly.
