Good afternoon!

Thanks to all of you for getting the girls to their game(s) and fitness session this week. We really appreciate everyone’s efforts in getting the girls to all their soccer-related activities.

As of this week, we are imposing a hard attendance deadline for the current week’s game(s). That deadline is 8pm every Sunday, so rosters for the week ahead can be sent out on Monday night. We completely understand if something comes up and a player ultimately can’t make it after planning to be there, but we can no longer tolerate late attendance (as in, marking attendance after the weekly rosters have been sent out). Having a roster set ahead allows for positioning, appropriate substitution plans, as well as specific coaching needs for the players we have, especially since we do not have any practice time. If your player is not checked off to attend the game(s) by 8pm on Sunday, they will not be included in the roster and will not play that week. Ideally, we want to roster 10-11 girls per game to maximize time on the field. This week’s attendance deadline will be Thursday (tomorrow) at 8pm.

Also, when games end, please make sure your player knows to meet in the walkway behind the benches right after exiting the field area. The coaches would like to debrief with the girls and talk about what just happened. We want the girls to leave on a positive note. We will briefly discuss what transpired during the match, what we will aim for the following week, and congratulate them on our successes as success isn’t measured by the score.
