THE WEEK AHEAD 28th MARCH to 2nd APRIL

Updates this week:
1. Changes to the RETURN TO PLAY PROTOCOL
2. 2 Sessions this week Friday Evening and Saturday Morning

Per the Ontario Soccer RTP Guide update of March 9th,2022 , member clubs can implement their own safety protocols to ensure the health & safety of its players and volunteers.
Therefore, effectively immediately, the following updates are being made to the Oakridge Soccer Club’s Return To Play (RTP) Protocol:

1. Player & Volunteer pre-screening will no longer need to be completed; this means not having to complete the Google Form
2. Player & Volunteer attendance tracking will continue; this means anyone associated with the team must be registered to the team’s (or pool) club assigned Teampages to confirm their attendance prior to any session (training, practice, game, scrimmage, tournament etc)
3. On-site tracking no longer needs to take place
4. Should players become sick, they need to remove themselves from play immediately and sit out for at least 5 days (following Govt/health unit guidelines), notifying anyone who was a close contact and follow the protocols outlined by the Govt etc.

Reminders This week:

• I have scheduled additional Practice Time for the team on Friday April 1 and Friday April 8 at 6:30 pm @ Emily Carr Public School
• I have added the remaining Saturday sessions for April into the schedule at Oakridge High School
• To prepare for the upcoming season and to get into good habits of being ready to go so practice can begin on time, please arrive 10-15 minutes before each practice.

Hi Everyone,

As we get closer to the start of the season, the next step is to get uniforms sized and ordered. I will have sample sizes available on the 19th and 26th for the girls to try on. They have to be submitted by March 27th so they can be ready for the start of season.

Can I get a volunteer to help with getting the sizes recorded during the session?

I know that some of you have other commitments that occur around the 9-10am time, but if you could make it for the beginning of the session we can get your girls sized first. Otherwise please contact me if you need to make alternate arrangements.

• I had asked for availability for a parent’s meeting, but couldn’t come to time/date in the next couple of weeks that works for all. Early April I will schedule a mandatory Parent’s meeting.
