To all players, parents, and most importantly, volunteers, thank you for a great summer of soccer!

Over the course of the last 3 months, we have been able to safely provide opportunities for kids of all ages to get back on the field and play the game they love. While this summer was like no other, we sincerely appreciate your support in getting your son, daughter, niece, nephew, or grandchild to the field for their training session, scrimmage, or league game.

Fall Assessments will be kicking off across all age groups from U8 to U17 for both boys & girls teams/programs, please encourage new players to come out or other players who are looking for a new challenge with a new team, program, or club. The Oakridge Soccer Club is one of the last community based, volunteer managed, not for profit soccer clubs in the city. For details on assessments for all age groups, please click on ASSESSMENTS at the top of the page.

Founded in 1975, the Oakridge Soccer Club (OSC) is one of the largest and last community based, not for profit, volunteer based clubs in the greater London region.

Following the values & principles of the Oakridge Optimist Club as friends of youth & community, the Oakridge Soccer Club has evolved in to a multi-tiered competitive soccer club that provides opportunities for players from U8 to Mens, Women’s, and Masters Programs to compete year-round.

The success of the club and all of its programs is due to the countless hours spent by an army of volunteers who support players, teams, and the Executive Board to manage the club every season. If it weren’t for these volunteers, the club would be forced to close its doors and no longer provide competitive programs.

Starting in Summer 2021, the Executive Board of the Oakridge Soccer Club is introducing two Volunteer of The Year Awards ( Grassroots & Competitive) to recognize the dedication & commitment of key volunteers who are supporting the clubs various programs. Nominations are open to any individual who has supported an OSC team/pool/program over the last 12 months. This award will be presented to individuals who:

-share a deep commitment to supporting youth development, the sport of soccer, and the club
-contribute to the growth of the program
-are organized, punctual, supportive
-go above and beyond, they are an asset to the program/team/club

All nominations are due by Friday, August 20th, 2021.

June 24th - With the Province of Ontario transitioning to Step 2 as part of the government’s re-opening plan, competitive sports and league play can now resume! Effective 1201am, Wednesday, June 30th, competitive play can take place which means teams can practice together (no longer training in groups of 10 etc) to prepare for the Summer 2021 season which will start the following week. Social distancing is still in effect as are the various aspects of the Oakridge Soccer Club’s Return To Play (RTP) protocols for session attendance , pre-screening and onsite tracking.

The EMDSL has notified all clubs that competitive league play for U8-U18 will start on Monday, July 5th and will continue through the middle of September. Restrictions have been lifted for teams to be able to play consistently throughout the summer without the two week isolation period as previously communicated. Furthermore, pool based play will return with teams being able to move players between tiers with ease. For U13+, call ups are permitted for players to play up in games.

Details will be shared directly with Oakridge teams as they become available in regards to game schedules, practices etc.

We look forward to a great summer FULL of soccer!

June 10th – We are happy to announce that with the Province of Ontario transitioning to Step 1 tomorrow, the Oakridge Soccer Club will be resuming all club activities effective Monday, June 14th.

All teams & programs can begin summer training in accordance with the guidelines set forward by Ontario Soccer. With teams from U8B to U21W and Men’s Division 4 set to compete this summer, the Oakridge Soccer Club is one of the last not for profit, volunteer managed community clubs in the region.

Updates from all teams will be sent out to each player & family shortly outlining training schedules and uniform sizing in anticipation of starting league competition in Step 2 in early July. Competition will resume providing the province continues to trend in the right direction with increased vaccinations across all age groups and a decrease in positive COVID cases.

The club’s Return To Play (RTP) protocols of attendance tracking & pre-screening before all sessions remains in effect. Should you wish to review a copy of the club’s RTP Plan, please contact president@oakridgesoccerclub.ca .
